This can be a brand new, factory sealed, Variscope Series 821 microscope. The Variscope microscope group of optical instruments is created by one of the largest "private label" optical fabricators in the world. This microscope is created for top quality viewing of a wide array of specimens. This microscope is manufactured by having an internally rotating dual 1x - 3x stereo objective made from premium ground optical glass. Used in conjunction with the included wide field 10x stereo eyepieces, you are able to achieve magnifications of 10x and 30x straight out of the box. The key microscope head swivels 360 degrees for viewing from any angle, and also the head itself sits at the comfortable 45 degree incline. The eyepieces sit inside a gemel type assembly, allowing for maximum flexibility in adjusting the interpupillary distance. The right eyepiece holder includes an independently controlled diopter focusing adjustment, and molded rubber eyecups are supplied for the comfort. The focusing knob is on both the right and left side of the scope permitting easy adjustment with either the best or left hand. This microscope has premium dual built-in infinitely variable halogen lighting. The upper reducing light sources are controlled independently. A unique feature of the microscope is that the upper light could be removed or aimed independently. The working distance relating to the objective turret and the specimen is 110 mm. The microscope base comes which has a frosted glass specimen plate and also a reversible black & white specimen plate.
