This is really a brand new, factory sealed, Variscope Series 833 microscope. The Variscope microscope category of optical instruments is manufactured by one in the largest "private label" optical fabricators inside the world. This microscope is manufactured with an internally rotating dual 2x - 4x stereo objective made from premium ground optical glass. Used in conjunction while using included wide field 10x stereo eyepieces, it can be done to achieve magnifications of 20x and 40x right out with the box. The microscope head sits in a comfortable 45 degree incline. The eyepieces sit in the gemel type assembly, enabling maximum flexibility in adjusting the interpupillary distance. The left eyepiece holder includes an independently controlled diopter focusing adjustment, and molded rubber eyecups are provided for your comfort. The focusing knob is on both the proper and left side in the scope permitting easy adjustment with either the right or left hand. This microscope comes with a built-in upper and lower light source. It is possible to toggle either the top or lower light to illuminate both transparent and opaque specimens. Spare halogen bulbs are included together with your microscope.
