This is a brand new, factory sealed, Variscope Series 821 microscope. The Variscope microscope family of optical instruments is manufactured by one in the largest "private label" optical fabricators inside the world. This microscope is designed for top quality viewing of a wide array of specimens. This microscope is manufactured with the internally rotating dual 2x - 4x stereo objective made from premium ground optical glass. Used in conjunction with all the included wide field 10x stereo eyepieces, you can achieve magnifications of 20x and 40x straight out with the box. The main microscope head swivels 360 degrees for viewing from any angle, and the head itself sits at a comfortable 45 degree incline. The eyepieces sit inside a gemel type assembly, allowing for maximum flexibility in adjusting the interpupillary distance. The right eyepiece holder includes an independently controlled diopter focusing adjustment, and molded rubber eyecups are supplied for the comfort. The focusing knob is on both the proper and left side in the scope enabling easy adjustment with either the best or left hand. This microscope has premium dual built-in infinitely variable halogen lighting. The upper and lower light sources are controlled independently. A unique feature of the microscope is that this upper light can be removed or aimed independently. The working distance involving the objective turret and also the specimen is 110 mm. The microscope base comes with a frosted glass specimen plate as well as a reversible black & white specimen plate.
